Steve & Laura started Lindy hop, Swing Dancing, in 2001 and quickly found a passion for the music and culture.
With a back ground in Rock & Roll the transition was a progression to expand their dance knowledge, but as well as finding another dance style to learn they found a scene to make there own. Laura ' s highly successful back ground in Gymnastics lead them towards the high flying flips and tricks of the early aerialists of the Harlem era which gained them the respect of fellow dancers.
 
Steve and Laura have performed, competed & taught all over Australia & in the US and have performed on TV and films such as ' Whipped Up ' .

Steve & Laura can still be seen regularly at corporate, private and public functions working with such great groups as ' Swing it! ' & ' The Shuffle Club ' .

Steve  brings an exciting and fun approach to all his classes.

With a strong emphasis on social dancing, history and Dance style, he ' s bound to leave an impression!
 
Laura ' s Swing Dancing has provided many highlights – teaching, performing, competing, travelling and Lindy Hop is a true passion. She has worked hard to learn about the original fashions and hairstyles to compliment her dancing, it more than amazes people how it all stays together as she glides across the floor or twirls through the air.
 
After a break from regular teaching to concentrate on private instruction and their own performing they are over joyed with being back and at the Soundgarden on Wednesday evenings.

Intermediate class at 8:30pm

No booking required just turn up any week

No experience or partner required

$14 per hour class  

Bar open from 6:30
